Founded on Craftsmanship
Our studio emerged from a passion for textile arts and a commitment to sustainable practices. Located in Amsterdam, we operate as a small collective of artisans who share a vision of creating meaningful, beautiful textiles.
We believe that handcrafted pieces carry energy and intention that mass-produced items cannot replicate. Each tapestry, wall hanging, or decorative piece is created with attention to detail and respect for the materials.
Our Methods
Traditional Looms
We work with both floor looms and frame looms, selecting the appropriate tool for each project. Our looms are maintained regularly, ensuring consistent tension and quality in every weave.
Natural Dyes
Many of our pieces incorporate naturally dyed fibers. We work with plant-based dyes, creating rich, nuanced colors that evolve subtly over time, adding character to each piece.
Hand Techniques
From macramé knots to complex weaving patterns, we employ various hand techniques. This manual approach allows for subtle variations that make each piece unique.
Our Philosophy
We approach textile art as a dialogue between material, technique, and space. Each commission begins with understanding the environment where the piece will live, ensuring harmony between the textile and its surroundings.
Sustainability & Ethics
Responsible Sourcing
We prioritize materials from suppliers who share our commitment to environmental responsibility. This includes organic fibers, recycled materials, and natural dyes.
Our production process minimizes waste, and we repurpose offcuts into smaller pieces or sample work. Packaging is kept minimal and uses recycled or biodegradable materials whenever possible.
We believe that creating beautiful objects should not come at the expense of the planet, and we continuously seek ways to reduce our environmental footprint.
